dConstruct Robotics is partnering with the Land Transport Authority to develop a next-generation underground tunnel scanning solution that transforms how underground infrastructures are inspected and maintained.

Leveraging cutting-edge 3D SLAM geo-referencing and spatial reconstruction technologies, the system generates precise digital representations of tunnel environments, enabling comprehensive and repeatable infrastructure assessment.

Through accurate longitudinal analysis and time-based data comparison, the solution detects tunnel settlement and structural deformation which are critical indicators often difficult to identify using conventional methods.

Traditional inspection practices rely heavily on manual, visual assessments that are time-consuming, labour-intensive and limited in their ability to detect early-stage deterioration. These constraints presents ongoing challenges to infrastructure safety and long-term performance.

In addition to significantly improving inspection accuracy and consistency, the solution is projected to deliver substantial operational efficiencies, with estimated savings of approximately 9,060 man-hours.

Designed for scalability, the technology has strong potential for deployment across broader infrastructure networks globally - supporting safer, smarter, and more sustainable underground transport systems.
