Job Description: dConstruct is looking for electrical/electronic engineers to join our vibrant and driven hardware team working on solving challenging problems in robotics and reality capture. As an electrical/electronic engineer at dConstruct, you will be designing, building and integrating robotic systems needed to solve complex real-world problems.

Responsibilities

1.     Design analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits fromconcept through schematic capture, PCB layout, and prototype bring-up for robotic and scanner systems including power, sensing and actuation.

2.     Lead schematic and design reviews, and guide PCB layout for signal integrity, power integrity, and manufacturability.

3.     Design overall electrical system architectures.

4.     Design, assemble and evaluate rapid prototype models in order to assess technical feasibility of various solutions.

5.     Document designs, verification protocols, and results.

6.     Integrate sensors, cameras, motor drives, and compute platforms.

7.     Analyse trade-offs in complex systems and recommend solutions.

8.     Work with internal/external partners to support fabrication and manufacture.

9.     Interpret customer specifications to define requirements for design.

10. Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams and other stakeholders to deliver robust hardware.

11. Define test plans and evaluate reliability.

12. Diagnose and resolve technical issues during deployment and commissioning of systems.

13. Provide technical leadership and direction to a team of engineers.

Requirements and Skills

1.      Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering or related field.

2.     7+ years’ experience in electrical/electronic design engineering.

3.     Ability to conceptualize, implement and validate a system level design and solution

4.     Experience and knowledge in robotics or related fields.

5.     PCB design expertise and experience with PDB design software.

6.     Strong schematic design, review, and debug skills across analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits.

7.     Experience in design in one or more of the following systems: power distribution modules, motor driver circuits, actuator control electronics, peripheral / sensor interfaces, Microcontrollers and firmware, High-speed interfaces such as USB3.0, GIGE and MIPI-CSI.

8.     Familiarity with common sensors used in robotics such as LiDARs, embedded cameras and IMUs.

9.     Basic knowledge of C/C++.

10. Clear communication, strong documentation habits, and the ability to lead technical decisions, work independently, and mentor others.
