Job Description: dConstruct is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop our robotics platform and other devices. You will be working with our software team to test and integrate new hardware and sensors. Additionally, you will be assisting in the design and manufacturing of our products.

Responsibilities

· Design, manufacture, and deploy mechatronic components for our robotics platform andother devices.

· Work closely with the other engineering teams to gather user requirements.

· Source, test, and keep inventory of components used in various mechanical assemblies.

· Ensure hardware components are in good working condition and perform troubleshooting for issues that arise.

Requirements and skills

· (Pursuing) a bachelor's degree / master's in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or related field.

· Good hands-on ability; comfortable with choosing and using mechanical tools and machines.

· Experience with parametric 3D CAD software(s) and ability to adapt to new ones.

· Familiar with wheeled, articulated, legged, and hybrid mobile robot architectures.

· Familiar with industrial/product design, material design choices, and the respective manufacturing technology most suited to manufacture each component.

· Experience working with complex plastic parts produced at scale using vacuum forming, vacuum casting, injection molding, or other thermoforming methods is a plus.

· Good to be familiar with industrial product safetystandards like CE and UL.
